Eduard M. Brunner, Chairman
Dr. Eduard M. Brunner is the owner of Edbru AG, a company engaged in the financing of start-up companies. He worked in various Swiss industrial companies in different management positions up to the delegate of the board.
Dr. Brunner holds a PhD in Technical Science from the ETH Zürich, a Master of Business Administration of the Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA, and a Master in Electrical Engineering of the ETH Zürich.
Robert Schier, Vice-Chairman
Dr. Robert Schier joined Swissanto Invest at Zürcher Kantonalbank in 2018 as Member of Senior Management, Investment Director PE/VC. He has many years' experience in the healthcare and life sciences sector with background in biotech and as investment director and/or partner in various venture capital firms, such as Inventages Venture Capital and Seventure Partners.
Robert Schier holds a degree in pharmacy from the University of Vienna and a PhD in biotechnology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. He received the Keystone Award for Excellence in Research for his outstanding doctoral thesis, which he completed at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr Schier then completed an executive MBA programme at the European University Munich and is the author of several scientific publications and patents.
Jacqueline Ruedin Rüsch
Jacqueline Ruedin Rüsch is the founder and CEO of Privilège Management SA, a wealth management company providing wealth management services for private and institutional clients including discretionary portfolio management, advisory, venture capital investments, and fund distribution.
Jacqueline Ruedin Rüsch, after being granted her University degree in Economics, started a successful career in banking working in several major Swiss banks where she acquired in-depth experience in wealth management, relationship management, funds’ structuring and funds’ distribution.
Jon Andri Jörg
Jon Andri Jörg is CEO and owner of Connova, a company specialized in composite components. Prior to this he held management positions at Mettler Toledo in Europe and America, last as global VP Sales, Service & Marketing of Rainin. He started his professional career as an investment banker at UBS Warburg.
Jon Andri Jörg studied at the University of Lausanne and the London School of Economics, from where he graduated with a Master of Economics degree. He also attended the Executive Education Program at the Columbia Business School, New York, and the Business School of Stanford, California.
Kaspar founded Creoptix in 2009 and since then is fully dedicated to push the technology from a research stage to a commercial success. Before, Kaspar was at Optrel AG in Wattwil, Switzerland, where he first worked as Optics Engineer and Deputy Director R&D, and later as Director Operations responsible for production, supply chain and process engineering.
Kaspar obtained his diploma (M.Sc. degree) in micro-engineering with specialization in optics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) and his PhD from the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland, on the topic of label-free waveguide-grating sensors.
